To get YouView from TalkTalk you need a minimum broadband speed of 3Mbps. If your broadband speed is below the minimum, you will not be able to get YouView from TalkTalk. If you have over 5Mbps, you may also be able to access live premium channels from the TalkTalk Player, such as Sky Sports and Sky Movies with our flexible TV Boosts. Aside from the Freeview channels which are delivered via your TV aerial, everything else you watch is delivered from your TalkTalk broadband line. To ensure we give our customers the best TV experience we need to ensure customers have a minimum line speed as described above.

A postcode checker estimates what Freeview channels and broadband speed you will get, using your postcode. We recommend using a line speed check as this involves doing the test at home on your PC or laptop to see what broadband speed you are receiving, instead of an estimation of the speed in your area.

Your YouView Box will work if it isn't connected to a broadband router, however you will miss out on many of the amazing features such as catch-up TV on BBC iPlayer and 4oD. You won't be able to receive Internet channels such as Sky Sports and Sky Movies either.
