You have two PINs for your TalkTalk TV service, each required to perform certain actions. This article explains your TalkTalk PIN. For more information on your YouView PIN, visit our guide. Find out more about why you have two PINs.
Your TalkTalk PIN helps prevent purchases being made by mistake or by those who shouldn’t be making them. You’ll need to enter your TalkTalk PIN to confirm payment when you buy premium content like TV Boosts and rentals on your YouView Box.
You’ll be able to find your TalkTalk PIN in the welcome pack you received when you joined TalkTalk or signed up for TalkTalk TV.
If you can’t find your welcome pack, then don’t worry, it’s easy to find and change your TalkTalk PIN online. Just log in to the PIN section of My Account and you’ll see it on the screen. You can also change it from the same place by simply following the instructions on the screen.
If you have opted to remember your PIN when purchasing content, you will have the option to clear the saved PIN each time you are making a purchase.
If you change your PIN in My Account to prevent unauthorised purchases, and you have opted to save your PIN when making purchases, your YouView Box will automatically remember the new PIN. To clear the saved PIN follow the steps below.
To clear the saved PIN next time you make a purchase:
On your remote press the i button to change the PIN settings
Press OK to clear your PIN
From now on you'll be prompted to enter your PIN when making purchases
