Paper or online billing

At TalkTalk we offer paper and online billing for all accounts. You can choose which you prefer, but you'll find that online billing saves you money.

 

Should I choose paper or online billing?

Paper billing means administration and postal costs. To keep costs down for everybody, we have to make a charge to cover these costs. This will appear on every bill that is produced and sent to you in the post. Online billing is provided free of charge. 

If you choose online billing your bills will be stored in My Account for you to view.

  • View your past 12 months home phone, broadband, TV and mobile bills

If you need to keep your invoices for longer than this you can save them to your computer or print them.

With online billing you can:

  • View past bills online in one place
  • View popular calls and learn how to save more
  • Save over £22 a year compared to paper billing
  • Reduce the amount of paper used
  • Save bills to your computer
  • Keep track of your call costs before you are billed
  • You can cancel paper-free billing at any time

 

How can I change my home phone, broadband & TV billing method?

You can manage how you receive your bills in My Account by following the below steps. You will need to complete the registration process the first time you use this.

  1. Log into My Account
  2. Move your mouse pointer over Bills & Payments
  3. Select Choose billing method from the menu
  4. Choose your preferred method and click Confirm

  5. Click Confirm on the confirmation screen

If you select paper billing we will post your bill to you each month. If you select online billing you will receive an email to tell you when your bill is ready to view online.

Please note: If you change to online billing your payment term will change from 14 days to approximately 7 days. This will result in a change to the payment due date to at the very least 3 clear working days from the receipt of your e-bill notification.

If you are a Tiscali customer, your payment date will remain the same if you change to online billing.

 

How can I change my mobile phone billing method?

You can manage how you receive your bills in My Account by following the below steps. You will need to complete the registration process the first time you use this.

  1. Log into My Account
  2. Select Mobile
  3. Select Change bill method from the menu
  4. Choose your preferred method and click Update bill method

If you select paper billing we will post your bill to you each month. If you select online billing you will receive an email to tell you when your bill is ready to view online.
