Email Settings - IMAP & POP3

Accessing your emails from any computer, Smartphone or tablet is simple, click the button below to view our step-by-step setup guides. If your software application or device isn't listed, all you need to connect to your TalkTalk email mailbox are the relevant email settings as shown below.

IMAP & POP settings

You can set up your email account with either IMAP or POP settings, both of which you'll find below. For the best performance we recommend using IMAP settings, especially if you want to access your emails on more than one device. 

Click your email address ending below to view the relevant email settings. Make sure you enter them exactly as they appear below to successfully set up your email account.

 
Important notice

If you have already set up your client to work with POP3 do not change the settings to IMAP. If you are setting up the account for the first time we recommend that you use the IMAP settings

NOTE: When adding your talktalk email account to a windows 8 machines be sure to use the imap settings above.

Please Note: If you're connecting via a 3G network rather than your TalkTalk home broadband you may need to change the outgoing mail server (SMTP) to the one that corresponds to your mobile network provider. Please contact them for details.

I have moved to TalkTalk and need the mail server settings

If you have moved to TalkTalk and wish to continue using your old address then you may need to update the SMTP server to the TalkTalk mail server smtp.talktalk.net

If you find that the email is not working for any reason then contact the provider of the email service. The TalkTalk email server settings are below and will help you get the issue resolved when you are diagnosing the problem with the email provider.
