Issues accessing your @talktalk.net email
Our engineers have identified that some customers are having issues accessing their @talktalk.net email account. This isn't affecting the actual emails, which are still being delivered correctly, more information here
This page tells you how to set up Windows 8 Mail to work with your TalkTalk email service. Before starting, make sure you know the exact spelling of your email address. If you're unsure, you can check your email address details by signing in to My Account.
These instructions are for computers running the Microsoft Windows 8 operating system only.
Please be aware that in order to sign in to Windows 8 Mail, you also need a Microsoft-provided email account. If you don't have one (and don't want to create one) please consider using a different program for your email.
Follow the steps below to set up Windows 8 Mail to work with your TalkTalk email service.
Once you have entered these details, click Connect. You will then return to the main Mail window.
Your email account is now set up. To test it, send an email to your TalkTalk email address and check if Windows 8 Mail receives it.
The program will automatically check for new messages at regular intervals. You can make it immediately check for new messages by clicking the Sync button.
