How do I use Speed Dial?

Speed dial makes it quick and easy to call your friends, family and other favourite numbers from your home phone. There’s no restriction on the types of numbers you can use. You can set up any phone number including UK landline, mobile and international numbers.

How do I turn on Speed Dial and add numbers?

All you have to do to activate Speed Dial is add at least one phone number to your Speed Dial list. Once you’ve added some Speed Dial numbers, you can call each of them easily from any of your home phones.

To add numbers to your Speed Dial list, follow these instructions:

  1. Log in to My Account

  2. Select Home phone Tab

  3. Select Manage speed dial settings under Tasks on the right

  4. You’ll see a table in the centre of the page. To add a Speed Dial number first type a name into one of the text boxes under Name

  5. Now type a phone number into the box next to it under Phone Number (remember to type the full area code for UK calls and country code for international calls)

  6. Now repeat this process for all the numbers you’d like to add you your Speed Dial list. When you’ve added all the names and numbers you want to add, click Save.

Now all the numbers you added to the list are ready to call using Speed Dial.

How do I call my Speed Dial numbers?

Once you’ve added some numbers to your Speed Dial list in My Account (see above) you can start calling them from any of your home phones.

Calling your Speed Dial numbers is easy. Simply dial the digits shown under Dial next to the name of the Speed Dial number you want to call.

How do I change my Speed Dial numbers?

You can change the numbers in your Speed Dial list from My Account or using one of your home phones.

To change your Speed Dial numbers from My Account:

  1. Log in to My Account
  2. Select Home phone Tab

    Select Home phone

  3. Select Manage speed dial settings under Tasks on the right

  4. Now delete the names and numbers that you no longer want on the list from the text boxes
     

    Delete required name and number
  5. Replace these with the names and numbers you’d like to add to the list

    Replace with new name and number
  6. Click Save to accept the changes

You can also change your Speed Dial numbers from any of your home phones. To do this simply dial press *press *press * and follow the recorded instructions.

How do I delete my Speed Dial numbers?

To delete Speed Dial numbers, sign in to My Account and visit the Speed Dial section where you set up your Speed Dial numbers. Simply delete the names and numbers of the Speed Dials you no longer want from the text boxes and click Save. Your changes will be made within a couple of minutes.

Will Speed Dial cost anything?

Only the cost of the call you’re making. The Speed Dial service itself is completely free to activate and use.

Can I use Speed Dial on all my home phones?

Yes, you can, so long as they are touch tone phones. Once you’ve set up your Speed Dials online you can dial the Speed Dial codes from any phone around your home.

Can I save my Speed Dial numbers to my computer or print them?

Yes, you can. To do this:

  1. Log in to My Account
  2. Select Home phone Tab

    Select Home phone

  3. Select Manage speed dial settings under Tasks on the right

  4. Click Print to print or Convert to PDF to save to your computer

    Select Print or select Convert to PDF
  5. Now simply follow the instructions on the screen
