Wireless routers allow you to move around your home while remaining connected to the internet all the time, free from wires and cables. TalkTalk provide all their customers with wireless routers as standard. However, if you have an older router then it is possible it isn’t wireless capable.
You can find a list of all our wireless router models on our Supported Hardware and Software page. Simply look for your router in the Wireless Routers and Wireless Adapters table.
If you’re unsure of your router’s model, you should be able to find the model number on the back of the router.
If you can’t find your router on the list and it was supplied by TalkTalk, then it’s most likely that you won’t be able to make a wireless connection. It might be time to upgrade?
Find the latest wireless routers in the TalkTalk Shop.
We also offer Wi-Fi Powerline Adapters, these provide a convenient way to extend your wireless network around your home without the need for long cabling, by using your existing electrical wiring. They also offer an Ethernet port in case you also want a wired connection for any of your devices (i.e. TV set-top-box or games console etc).
You’ll get two in a pack – Plug one powerline adapter into a plug socket near your router, then the other one in a plug socket in another room of your house to extend your connection. For more information on the Wi-Fi powerline adapter kit.
