This simple step-by-step guide will show you how to set up and connect online in no time. You can connect either wirelessly, or with a yellow Ethernet cable.

Find your master socket and unplug all connected devices from it
TIP: You will need to repeat this for all other sockets with connected devices. Find out more about master sockets.
Fit one of your microfilters into the master socket
Connect your device to the microfilter using your existing cable
At your master socket, connect one end to your broadband cable into the microfilter
Connect the other end of the broadband cable into the port marked 'ADSL'
Plug the power supply into a wall socket and connect the other end to the back of the router
Switch on the power at the socket
Switch on your router
Check your power light is green
Connect one end of the yellow Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port on your computer
Connect the other end of the cable to one of the yellow ports on the router marked 'LAN'
Move to step 12 to connect wirelessly, otherwise your setup is complete
TIP: Our TalkTalk routers are usually pre-programmed with your broadband username and password, but if you are using an older router you may need to enter these manually. See Wired Connection Setup for instructions

Your router is now set up and should look like the below. You can now connect your wireless devices or games consoles to your network.
