Speedy Payment Discount

At TalkTalk we are always looking for ways to help you save money on your bills. That's why we have the Speedy Payment Discount, saving you 10% on your monthly bills. You can find out more information about this offer below.

What is the Speedy Payment discount?

The speedy payment discount is a reward for customers who pay their bill early. Simply pay your bill within 24 hours of receiving your bill notification email and receive a 10% discount.

 

Please note: the Speedy Payment discount is not available on your TalkTalk Mobile bill.

How do I take advantage of the discount?

To take advantage of the Speedy Payment Discount you need to make your payment using the speedy payment page in My Account.

There are two ways to access the Speedy Payment page:

Simply click on the Speedy Payment Discount link in your bill notification email which will take you to the dedicated payment screen and confirm if the discount is available.

Or, log in to My Account and click on Bills & Payments then Make a card payment. You can then click on Apply 10% speedy payment discount to go to the payment page. This link will only be available while the discount window is open.

If you are eligible for the discount, the payment screen will show the below notification and the discounted balance.

Please note: To take advantage of the discount, your bill must be greater than £1 and you need to pay the full balance using the above link.

How will I know if I have missed the Speedy Discount window?

When you click on the Speedy Discount link you will be taken to the payment page in My Account. If you have missed the 24 hour window to take advantage of the discount you will be presented with the following message.

How will the discount show on my bill?

Your discount will appear on your following months bill as Speedy Payment Discount in the Adjustments section.

Will I have longer to pay as I’m on paper billing?

No, the discount is only available for 24 hours after the e-Billing notification is sent. Your paper bill will normally land after the period has closed, so you may miss out on the discount, so why not sign up to online billing today.

I’ve not received my bill notification

If you can not see your bill notification email, try looking in your spam folder to make sure it has not been moved there in error. If you still can not find the email, check to make sure we hold the correct email address for you in My Account

If you have carried out the above checks and can still not locate your notification email, you can visit the Speedy Discount payment page where it will confirm if the discount is still available.

How will this affect my Direct Debit or Recurring Card Payment?

If you have a recurring payment set up, like Direct Debit, then rest assured your payment will not be taken twice and will remain active for any future payments.

To take advantage of the Speedy Payment Discount we recommend you:

  • Do NOT cancel your Direct Debit
  • Pay your bill online within 24 hours of receiving it.

When does the Speedy Payment Window start and finish?

The Speedy Payment Window starts when you receive your bill notification email and will be open for 24 hours.

How can I check my payment has gone through?

You can easily view your payments online in My Account under Transaction History

To view your last 12 months transactional history, please follow the below steps.

  1. Log into My Account and select Bills & Payments.

  2. Select View transaction history from the menu.

  3. Your 10 most recent transactions will be displayed.

Pease note: In some instances it can take up to 24 hours for your transaction to be appear.

Do I need to deduct the discount myself?

To make taking advantage of the discount as easy as possible, we will automatically calculate your new balance for you. This will be displayed on the payment page as shown below.

Will this discount work on Value Line Rental?

No, as you pay for Value Line Rental separately, it does not affect your bill total to which the Speedy Payment Discount applies.

My bill is showing in My Account but I have not received my email

If you can see the bill in My Account, you should be able to make a speedy payment through the link on the Make a Payment Page even if you have not received your bill notification.

If you see this notification after 10AM then you will be able to make payment with the 10% discount, if however you do not see this you will have to wait until after 10 AM the following day.

Please note: You will need to pay the full balance  and have a minimum balance of £1 to take advantage of the discount.

 

If you cant see see your bill notification email, try looking in your spam folder to make sure it has not been moved there in error. If you still cant find the email, check to make sure we hold the correct email address for you in My Account

 

Is there a charge for paying by card?

No, we do not apply any charges for making a one off payment by either debit or credit card.

Please note that if you cancel your Direct Debit a monthly administration fee would apply.

You do not need to cancel your Direct Debit to take advantage of the Speedy Payment Discount.
To take advantage of the Speedy Payment Discount we recommend you:

  • Do NOT cancel your Direct Debit
  • Pay your bill online within 24 hours of receiving it.
