We want our customers to have the best TV experience possible, so when you order TalkTalk TV you can choose either Speedy Install or for one of our BrightSparks engineers to visit your home to install your YouView box.
With Speedy Install we will send you everything you need to get your TV service up and running. Just follow the step by step instructions to start experiencing extraordinary TV from TalkTalk.
If you choose BrightSparks they’ll set up your TV PINS and show you how everything works. They’ll even optimise your broadband to make sure you’re getting the fastest speed for your line. You can choose a convenient date and time for the BrightSparks engineer to visit when you place your order, and you can change the appointment if you need to in My Account.
You’ll receive your Welcome Pack in the post, which contains your TalkTalk PIN. You need this PIN to purchase any TV content.
We’ll email and text you to remind you of your appointment. The night before your appointment, the BrightSparks engineer will call you to let you know what time they’ll be arriving, which is usually between 7am and 8pm.

When the BrightSparks engineer arrives, he’ll ask you to sign some Terms and Conditions. As these are quite long we recommend you read them before the appointment to save time.
TalkTalk Terms and Conditions
The engineer will install your YouView box and connect it to your router. If you don’t want your YouView box and router connected with wires, or your router is in a different room to your TV, you can purchase a pair of our handy Powerline adapters. These connect your YouView box and router wirelessly. They can be installed by our BrightSparks engineer on the day and charged directly to your TalkTalk bill. The engineer can also set up your Parental Controls if you’d like to block children from accessing adult content. Once you’re up and running they’ll give you a demonstration of the service and all its amazing features.

You can use My Account to track the progress of your order. If you did not set up My Account when placing your order you can do this once you have received your welcome pack with your telephone and account number.
