Using Anonymous Caller Reject

Anonymous Caller Reject stops you from getting calls from anyone who withholds their number. It helps you avoid nuisance and cold calls.

 

While Anonymous Caller Reject can help stop nuisance calls, it can also block calls from services like the NHS or your doctor’s surgery. If you need to remain in easy contact with health providers you shouldn't use this calling feature

 

  1. Log into My Account
  2. Choose Profile & Settings in the navigation menu, then My Telephone Settings
  3. Select Manage home phone Boosts.
  4. Tick the box next to Anonymous Caller Reject.
  5. Save your changes by selecting the Update button at the bottom of the page.
     

If you would like to cancel the feature follow the steps you used to activate this feature. Only this time remove the tick next to Anonymous Caller Reject. 

 

To temporarily turn off the feature dial  # 2 2 7 #

To turn the feature back on dial  * 2 2 7 #

To check the status of the feature dial  * # 2 2 7 #
 

All calls from people that withhold their number will be blocked, but some calls from unavailable numbers might still come through. These might be calls from another network provider outside the conventional landline network (like certain digital call networks used by some call centres) or from callers using charge cards, pay phones, dialling internationally or through the operator. Unfortunately, it’s not technically possible for us to block unavailable calls.
