How do I block unwanted callers?

TalkTalk offer two call blocking services which can help you avoid repetitive nuisance calls.

The Last Caller Barring feature is the perfect way to stop nuisance callers. You can use it to simply block the last number to call you or you can enter specific numbers you’d like barred.


Now, whenever someone tries to call you from a blocked number, all they will hear is a busy tone and you’ll no longer be disturbed with a call. You can block up to 10 different numbers using Last Caller Barring.

Homesafe: Report Unwanted Calls allows you to report serious and persistent nuisance calls. We will launch a formal investigation into the offending number and if we find evidence to suggest malicious behaviour, we will block the offending number from the network.

Activate Last Caller Barring

Last Caller Barring can be activated from My Account. To do this:

1. Log into My Account

From the Boosts and Calling Features page, tick Last caller barring in the Privacy features section

Using Last Caller Barring

When you have activated Last Caller Barring you can start to use it. To block numbers, you will need to use a touch tone phone.

To block the last number to call you:

1.       After the number you want to block has called you, dial
  on your phone.

2.       Confirm this by dialling

The last number to call you will now be blocked.

To enter a specific number you’d like blocked:

1.       Dial 

2.       Immediately enter your PIN (default is )

3.       Select ‘Review your barred numbers list and edit it’

4.       Now follow the instructions on the phone.

The number(s) you’ve entered will now be blocked from calling you.

You can also change your Last Caller Barring PIN using your phone. To do this:

1.       Dial

2.       Immediately enter your PIN (default is )

3.       Select ‘Change your PIN’

4.       Now follow the instructions on the phone.

How do I switch Last Caller Barring off?

If you would like to cancel the feature follow the steps you used to activate this feature in My Account. Only this time remove the tick next to Last Caller Barring and click Update to confirm.

How do I report suspicious calls?

We take scam calls very seriously, so if you have been receiving them, please don’t hesitate to report them to us. You can report calls that you may aggressive and persistent marketing calls, persistent silent or abandoned calls or calls you think could be scams. To report a number that you think may be suspicious call: 0800 083 2710
